Fingal Poetry Festival will light up Skerries from 16th to 19th September
Fingal Poetry Festival will take place from the 16th to 19th September,
bringing safe, outdoor, in-person events to iconic locations in and around
Skerries. Covid is the mother of invention….
Picture the newly covered Skerries Mills Courtyard coming to life and playing host to many events, from Poetry Slam to Poetry Readings, all accompanied by music and a concert by well-known local band *Shadows and Lights*, ensuring memorable experiences for all.
In addition, there will be three online workshops for aspiring poets and songwriters.
A small number of gardens in Skerries will be transformed briefly into a stage for a unique performance – check out “Dial P for Poet” if you want to be part of this experience.
Some of our events will be bi-lingual (English and Irish). We will also have sign language interpretation at some readings and subtitles at all online content. Please check out the rest of our website for details.
We are delighted to announce that ticket sales for all of our ticketed events have commenced online. Only a small number of tickets will be available at the door.
Tickets are limited due to Covid regulations, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
There will also be lots of free events for all the family, as we aim to bring poetry out into the community and to create a festival atmosphere in our lovely seaside town of Skerries with poetry at every corner – expect the unexpected.
