Open to national and international writers of poetry in the Irish language, An Fiach Dubh poetry award is a new and exciting addition to the Fingal Poetry Festival due to take place from September 16th – 19th 2021. An Fiach Dubh – Irish Poetry Competition is kindly sponsored by Country Crest.

We look forward to receiving your entries and very much hope to be able to meet you in Skerries at the festival in September. If Covid-19 restrictions are still in place at that time however, we will be running an alternative, online version of events, including the awards ceremony. In these difficult, uncertain times, when we find ourselves turning towards all that sustains us inwardly, poetry has never been so essential.
