From 1 May to midnight on June 30th, 2024, poets can submit their entries to both Fingal Poetry Competitions, An Fiach Dubh: Comórtas Filíochta as Gaeilge and The Fingal Poetry Prize. The first prize for each is €500, with second prizes (€300) and third prizes (€200) also awarded.
The competitions are part of the Fingal Poetry Festival (Skerries, 13-15 September), and the Fingal Poetry Prize is sponsored by DHL. The authors of the winning entries will be invited to an awards ceremony here on September 14, 2024.
An Fiach Dubh 2024 – Comórtas Filíochta as Gaeilge, moltóir: Bríd Ní Mhóráin, file agus scríbhneoir próis: Fáilte roimh dánta as Gaeilge ó Éirinn agus ó thar lear.
Judge: Bríd Ní Mhóráin, poet and prose writer. Open to all poets, national and international, writing in the Irish language.
The Fingal Poetry Prize 2024: Judged by Peter Sirr. Open to national and international writers.
