Jean O’Brien’s fifth collection, her New & Selected, Fish on a Bicycle was reprinted (Salmon Publishing) in 2018. She has won or been placed amongst others in the Arvon International (Winner) The Fish International (Winner), the Forward Prize and more recently Voices of War (UCD).
Her work was chosen for Poems on the Dart and for the Epic Poetry Jukebox. In 2017/18 she was awarded the Patrick & Katherine Kavanagh Fellowship, her work is widely published and broadcast.
She tutors in creative writing/poetry. She is currently working on a new collection.
